Carved Ostrich Egg

This is my second attempt to carve an egg. The first attempt was a disaster, but this one came out quite nice. Sadly i don’t have the right tools needed for the ultra fine details, but one day I’ll get them. Carving ostrich eggs is so much different than carving chicken eggs. They have a density similar to bone. An egg breaks very easy from inside out but is quite resistant if you press the drill from above. Its hard to say if this one is solid or not, i guess i will find out when it will break :D

Tool used: Diamond drill at 20.000rpm (400.000rpm needed, but its way too expensive)
